The Third Quartile. This problem has been solved. In this calculator the third quartile q3 is calculated for a set of data.
The first quartile Q 1 is the median of the lower half not including the value of Q 2. The upper or third quartile denoted as Q3 is the central point that lies between the median and the highest number of the distribution. The test scores for a class of 147 students are computed.
Find the first and third quartiles of the data set 3 7 8 5 12 14 21 13 18.
2 nd quartile or middle quartile also same as median it divides numbers into 2 equal parts. Upper set of numbers are present just above the actual median. The quartiles are the 25th 50th and 75th percentiles. We will look into these ideas in more detail in what follows.
